Another list of positives

I think it's time for another list of positives.

Life has been a bit challenging recently, so I need to refocus.

Here goes:

  • Improvements in confidence (e.g., walking through long grass)

  • Calm in the car (as long as we're moving)

  • Some very small improvements in running the neighbour gauntlet

  • Resting well at home

  • Recovers well from triggers

  • Sometimes shows good self-care for recovery — shaking off, sniffing, redirecting energy into play

  • Reacting less to the neighbour’s big dog barking

  • Loves to play

  • Not scared to go into the garden

  • Loves his physio exercises

  • Still doing well at daycare and at his countryside retreat

  • Good appetite and eating well

  • Far fewer reactions to noises at home

  • Very loving and cuddly

  • Super smart — loves learning cues and tricks

I thought I would struggle to come up with as many positives, but there are probably more.

Yes, life is still challenging. We can’t go for walks without careful planning, and I can’t leave him alone — but there is progress.
